Maybelline Nude Lust ColorSensational Lipstick Swatches & Review

Hello all! I've been lurking back into the makeup world slowly and surely... This is one of tons that I have to share with y'all, as long as there's no ugly overcast in Texas!

One of the looks I first fell in love with when I was younger were smoky grey eyes with nude lips. Don't get me wrong, I'm still a sucker for them but I've expanded my horizons now that I'm older.

So naturally, of course, my heart fluttered when I saw the new Maybelline ColorSensational Lipstick Buffs collection. I searched high and low online to see which nude would look good against my skintone and finally decided to pick up Nude Lust!

What Nude Lust looks like on me

Don't mind my background, I cropped mine out and stole a new one from Pinterest because I thought it looked nicer, haha. And if you're wondering what I'm wearing on the rest of my face...

MAC Deep Brunette Eyebrow Pencil
Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
Maybelline Master Precision Liner
MAC Haute & Naughty Lash Mascara

Maybelline Nude Lust ColorSensational Lipstick

So the lipstick comes in the standard Color Sensational packaging. The color of the tube is a blush pink and I absolutely love it!  Something about the color just feels soft and feminine...

Swatch of Nude Lust

The lipstick however does still have the artificial plastic scent and taste. It just really irks me because it's such a great product but it just doesn't get along with my senses and it does keep me from using it at times.

Nude Lust on my lips

Up close -- I'm talking like a mirror two inches away from my face -- the lipstick does settle into my lip lines. But as you can see from a more reasonable distance, I think it's a good pinky nude shade for my complexion!

Here's my real background, lol.

Have you tried this product? What're your thoughts on it?

  1. It's a really pretty nude lipstick on you Lindah!
I use to love crazy nude lipsticks....gosh I don't know how I pulled it off so confidently back then but now I'm into subtle pinks with hints of rose colour.
