Farewell 2012

It's been a rough year -- and it's finally over!

Back to regular posting soon. PROMISE.

haul: november ipsy bag

I finally signed up for a monthly subscription! Everything else seemed like it was either too expensive (i.e. glossybox) or it wasn't worth the monthly price for the items. The past two ipsy bags I've seen on the blogosphere had me very interested in signing up, and for only $10 with shipping included, why not?! Plus I figured it would get my monthly dose of "makeup exposure" and would keep me sane from buying more makeup, haha.

November's ipsy bag comes in a small brown makeup pouch and includes 5 items, 2 which are full-size and 3 sample sizes.

The contents inside. It also included a $20 off discount for justfab but I don't know where that went since I was too excited when I got it that I opened everything and used it, lol.

This item is full size! You can wear it over a base color for some added sparkle, or put multiple coats and make it opaque enough to wear by itself! I may have enjoyed a different color, but I already have many plain nail polish shades so this glittery concoction is a nice addition to my collection.

Above is displayed, from left to right, 3 coats, 2 coats, 1 coat, and bare nail.

It's definitely a buildable color, don't you agree? The glitter definitely clings on better when there is a textured surface. Hence why the second coat is much more opaque than the first!

November's bag also included an eyeshadow from the Meet Matt(e) palette by theBalm! I've always wanted to try out theBalm's product to see if they were any good and turns out the eyeshadow is very pigmented, smooth, and just overall good quality.

I spy the "nudetude" palette on hautelook right now, I may have to purchase that since that's what I've been on the fence about.

I received Matt Batali, which I believe is what everyone else got from all the bags I've personally seen. The shade is a rich, dark, chocolatey color. It's not exactly black but I wouldn't classify it as just a brown. It has this really nice smokiness to it and I used it to deepen my eyeshadow a few times already. It's very pigmented, so beware!

This lipgloss looks so dark in the tube, but when you apply it alone it really isn't that dark. It gives a nice berry tint to your lips but if you want the full effect I'd recommend layering it over a vampy lipstick. It's also minty, which I like! It makes me feel like I'm wearing lipbalm or something and I'd say it's a sticky lipgloss which means it'll keep my lips hydrated as I wear it and will be more prone to actually lasting.

A closer look at the shade. It's not quite this dark in my opinion but the bathroom lighting was not cooperating with me.

The applicator is an angled doe-foot wand which works nicely. My preference would be a brush applicator but this is more common.

Above is one normal layer of the lipgloss. I should've taken a naked lip picture for comparison but the gloss tints my lips just a little bit.

This is with an additional "globbing" on the gloss. It doesn't look much different from the other swatch, but I got confused while uploading the photos for this blog post so I'm sure none of y'all will notice a difference either.

Another full-size product. It's a black pencil liner but I would've say it's a deep black but rather an mediocre black. I used this to line my eyes, top and bottom lash line, and I fell asleep and it didn't smear or migrate. It did have some wear on it when I woke up but in my opinion it held up pretty well!

It's dull because I've used it a few times by the time I took this photo, sorry! I didn't want to sharpen it because one of the first things I noticed about this was it looked as if my grandmother had sharpened it with a knife instead of a sharpener.

I've never heard of this brand before but after trying it out I'm not quite sold on the product either. The packaging it comes in feels very cheap and so does the wand compared to my previous experience with the Anastasia Brow Gel. I do understand this is a sample size so the full-sized version might be better in the quality of the packaging but I can't say I'm remotely interested in purchasing that. I've used it on my brows and it gives a soft natural hold while still defining your brows. I can't say how it holds up during the day though since I didn't really recheck at the end of the night.

Here's the wand. It's just simple and basic. From what I remember the wand on the Anastasia one is more of an oval shape and it was actually soft. Maybe my standards are too high?

Above I used the Chella brow gel over my eyebrows with nothing else applied on there. I also lined my upper lash line with the Starlette liner and then I used Matt Batali on the lower lash line and I ran a little in the crease to show that it can be used lightly for a light wash.

I personally wouldn't use the eyeshadow on my brows just because it would be too harsh for my liking and I don't think it'd compliment my skin tone very well. Sorry for the red eyes, they were irritated and it was about 2am when I took these photos!

***

If you're interested in signing up for ipsy, check out their website. It's $10 a month and so far I'm a happy customer! I actually received mine about a week and a half ago, I've just been lazy to take photos and post but I read on the comments on the site that some people haven't received theirs yet so that might be a factor in not purchasing.

Hope this helps anyone!

fotd: thanksgiving dinner

It did not feel like Thanksgiving this year. It was a good 60 degrees in Texas and everyone was out in shorts. No one froze their butts off waiting outside Best Buy for Black Friday. Ohhh, doesn't feel like the holidays at all! BUT, it was a lot better than last year, which I spent alone in an empty house since my family was out of the country.

I'm very happy I got to spend it with the people I love and most importantly, good food! :) I was so hungry I didn't even want to take a picture before I ate, haha.

Anyway, how was your Thanksgiving?!

***

This is the look I wore on Thursday to my boyfriend's family's house. I wanted to wear something subtle since his family doesn't really wear cosmetics. It was smokier in person but of course crappy camera = crappy photos. Plus I took this again after I came home so no natural daylight, sorry!

See, I kept it very minimal!
Viva Glam Nicki is actually brighter in person but since I'm pretty tanned it doesn't photograph as bright on me. Don't get me wrong, it's very wearable although it's bright. I'll have to wear it again and take a photo during the day to really capture it for y'all! :)

Have a great day, everyone!

fotd: purple skies

I had this craving to wear colors the other day and came across some eye shadows I forgotten I even purchased. (Yes, I forget.)

I took these photos at the end of the night and my skin looks a bit oily with the flash on so I cropped out the face, I almost didn't post this because I'd prefer to have the natural day light!

***

Has anyone ever looked at the sky at odds times of the day? It's gorgeous. There's hints of dark blue, purples, lighter blues, pinks, and oranges! I can honestly say I haven't seen that in a while because I'm caught up in other things!

I guess that's what this look sort of reminded me of after I felt it was finished. I used a dark blue between the lighter blue and purple but it didn't really capture it on photo :( (black friday is coming up, time to invest in a new camera, hopefully!)

Without further ado, here it is!

Hope that wasn't too boring! I'm not too sure of all the colors I used off the top of my head, but if you're absolutely curious just ask.

Thanksgiving. The time where I feast and shortly after, take a nap. My family celebrates on Wednesday so we aren't on a time crunch (and food coma) when we visit the in-laws. What are your plans for Thanksgiving?

Drugstore Makeup Haul

(wow, yes a haul!)

This is me, trying to blog on my phone. A warning though, pictures are slightly blurry because my phone is very... let's say used and not broken, haha.

I used the app nostalgio for the frames & you can somewhat see my boyfriend playing battlefield 3 in the background. On my nails are Deborah Lippman's Across the Universe (which is not at all what it looks like in real life!)

Err, I really didn't want to haul because I ended up spending $25 (which if you've followed my past few posts I'm trying to save money) but my mascara was getting old and so was my eyeliners. If it weren't bothering me at all I would've have replaced it just yet but I can feel my eyes getting itchier than normal... it has to be the mascara & eyeliner, yes??

I also grabbed some hair ties which I didn't photograph because everyone knows what they look like and there's only so common. (Although I did see some new rubber types there but they didn't seem promising.)

Here's the few items I picked up!
Maybelline Master Precision Liquid Liner in Black, $6.44 @ Walmart
I picked this up because I was watching stylesuzi's video a while back and she swears by this liner! I didn't even know maybelline made a pen liner so I had to pick it up and try it :) I still like the physician's formula one I was using (mentioned in this post) but that one is almost twice the cost of this one at walmart so I passed for the time being. I mean, if someone's raved about it before it must be a decent product right??

Nexxus Pro-Mend Split End Binding Leave-In Treatment, $9.47 @ Walmart
I ended up splurging on this item. I didn't mean to but the boyfriend said "anything else you want to look at?" and I quickly thought... split end repair! I've been struggling with my hair splitting like it's never done before. I even chopped off 3 inches from every layer yet I can still see splitting! My hair has never been in this condition which I'm thinking it happened over the summer from washing my hair too frequent and using a 2-in-1 shampoo at my boyfriend's place and then constant styling and Texas heat without applying treatment first. I'm not hoping for this to miraculously repair my split ends up hopefully do something to them!

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Mascara in Extreme Black, $5.47 @ Walmart
It was between this and a few maybelline mascaras! Maybelline hasn't been impressing me much the past year with their mascaras (they're all okay and all, just not "wow" worthy) so I decided to give Rimmel another chance! I'm hoping this will make my lashes super dark and give some moderate length and volume.

Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm in Peach Kiss, $2.97 @ Walmart
This product has been out since forever! I didn't realize how inexpensive it is compared to the Revlon Lip Butters, which I love but don't wanna pay full price for. If I end up liking this I may go and get some of the bolder shades since I hear it's quite pigmented and it'd be perfect for an informal everyday bold lip :)

Has anyone tried these products, and if you have what are your thoughts on them?

I really wanted to do a halloween look for y'all but I ended up not doing much for halloween and staying home, studying for tests so hopefully next year when I expect to be finished with school!

Until next time!

FOTD: lucky green & humid

Hello everyone!

While I was cleaning out my makeup for my blogsale, I found something I purchased a while back and totally forgot about. I picked up MAC's Humid eyeshadow while I was vacationing with my family a few months ago and I guess it got lost under all the shopping bags from those few weeks.

Well, I finally got to use it yesterday! I honestly haven't worn color in a VERY long time so this was the first in a while so I kept it simple. This look was so simple that I almost didn't post it but I figured I was due for a new one.

I hate the after effects of tying my hair into a ponytail. I had a test prior to these photos and I like to remove any hair from my frame of vision and I end up with my right side all creased up! I'm overdue for a haircut too.

Face
- Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen WOW Liquid Foundation
- Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer
- NARS Deep Throat Blush
- NARS Laguna Bronzer
- Make Up For Ever HD Powder

 Eyes
- NARS Smudgeproof Primer
- MAC Eyeshadow
(Lucky green all over the lid, Humid in the outer corner, a little bit of Sassy Grass on the middle of the lid, Rated R in the crease, and Shroom for a highlight)
- Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Liner in Perversion
- Maybelline Megaplush Mascara
- Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil
(Zero on the waterline and lower lashes with Humid eyeshadow on top)
- Anastasia Medium Ash Brow Powder Duo (applied wet, to create darker, deeper brows)

Lips
- NYX Xtreme Lipcream

I feel that although this had color, it was still very neutral because of the earthy tones of the green. I almost want to whip out my purples and wear a bold look now!

Here's Buddy. He likes to come outside with me to take pictures and bark at anyone who walks by. Haha, he's a silly boy. Oh, and I think makeup is foreign to him because every time I have my makeup spread out he goes on a sniffing spree!

Have a great weekend everyone! I have exciting state fair plans which involve a lot of fried food! Hopefully I don't have a heart attack, wish me luck ;)

FOTD: in love with red

Hi all ~

I didn't realize the Marilyn collection released on Thursday :(

I stopped by my MAC counter on Friday because I was already in the neighborhood and decided to see my girls that worked there. (I was going across the street to order a cake for "mom-in-law.") Below is the look I wore to go run errands. When I was taking this photo outside on my balcony, the UPS man walked through. I felt embarrassed but I wanted to document my makeup before I forgot!

All the girls at MAC thought I was wearing a Marilyn lip color. It made me realize that I really did not need anything from this collection! I didn't plan to get anything anyway, just to check out the lipsticks and the blushes but good thing I ended up leaving with nothing! (Okay, I actually grabbed Butter London's Nail Foundation but I've been wanting that since the entire line came out.)

Face
- Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen WOW Liquid Foundation
- MAC Mineralized Concealer
- NARS Deep Throat Blush
- NARS Laguna Bronzer
- Make Up For Ever HD Powder

 Eyes
- NARS Smudgeproof Primer
- Urban Decay Naked Palette
(used Virgin, Sin, Naked, Darkhouse)
- Physician's Formula Liquid Liner Pen
- Maybelline Megaplush Mascara
- Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil
(used Perversion on waterline and Midnight Cowboy, Half Baked, Corrupt on the lower lashline)
- Anastasia Medium Ash Brow Powder Duo

Lips
- NYX Plush Red Lipliner
- MAC Eden Rouge Mattene Lipstick

I swear that red lipstick is my all time favorite! It's not drying and it lasts all day without feathering or fading. It was still available at my MAC counter from a collection that released a while ago but I definitely recommend any of the mattenes. Their formula is loveeeeee.

***

And here's what I wore today. Simple neutral/gray eyes but I wanted to photograph my sweater!

It's night time now so sorry there's no natural daylight so I took this in the bathroom.

(Please excuse the mess in the background, I blurred it out so you can't tell what crap it is lol)

I love this sweater! I purchased it last fall from forever 21, it's big but not big enough to my liking. I'm in the market to purchase more sweaters for the winter because they're so comfy but I have a hard time liking them once I try it on. Any recommendations?

My next post I want to get up is a "what's in my makeup bag" post so look out for that ;)

No Mirror Makeup Challenge

Hi ~

Last week, my friend Vyvien and I decided to attempt the "no mirror makeup challenge" after we finished our exams. She's in California for school at the moment so this was over the internet type of thing :P

This is how mine turned out...

Not bad at all! The purple in the heatherette palette didn't turn out as vibrant as I'd wanted it too, but I'm at my boyfriend's apartment and most of my makeup collection is at home so I had to improvise!

I also couldn't find any lipsticks so I just blended out some lipliner and made it work ;)

One thing that did piss me off; my stupid Palladio liquid liner pen broke on it! The tip fell out and got all over my arms/legs/thumb. I fixed it but that really made me made but I guess it couldn't have been a better time lol.

Photo below on the foreign marks. I thought there would've been more but I guess the odds were in my favor.

& lastly, the products I used. Sorry for such a dim picture, the apartment doesn't get good lighting which definitely works when I'm trying to sleep in ^_^

I think everyone should give this a try! It was really fun and interesting to see :)

Until next time.

FOTD: Simple & Bright

This summary is not available. Please click here to view the post.

Feedback, please!

Hello all...

It's been a while since I've regularly posted, and I've been thinking of starting back up again.

Playing with makeup definitely helps relieves stress, and I've got tons of it now that I've started my last year of college. (or what I hope will be my last year assuming things go as planned)

I'm torn between whether I want to blog sale my unused stuff away.. THERE'S A LOT.

Or whether I want to keep it, but even then I'd still have makeup to last me years.

With it being my last year, I have completely stopped working for this fall semester because the amount of time I have left of school really depends on how good I do this semester so I thought it'd be a good idea.

Now with that being said, I've already burned through half of my student loan (which I didn't get much of) and now I'm going to be needing money which is why I want to get rid of the stuff I don't use.

I actually took photos of everything I'd like to get rid of, yet I still want to keep it, but then it'll sit here and not get used :(

Everything is ready to go live for a blog sale... but the prices are not the same as I had in the past because I don't want to part with it.

Should I post, or not?!

Please give me some feedback :)

Review: GiGi Brazilian Bikini Hard Wax Kit

Today's topic is of my own experiences and finally taking the plunge after months of debating!

Here's a little background story before I get to the review.

***

I debated for a few months whether or not to get a Brazilian wax. I live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas and there's hardly any places in Fort Worth (which I live closer to) that specializes in Brazilian waxing. Dallas over the past few years practically have one everywhere you turn now.

How did I normally groom myself down there? I used to grab that annoying razor every few days and shave, as did most of my friends. It was the cheapest, time efficient way because I worked 2 part time jobs and went to school full time.

Well I was in luck! I took a semester off school and just started working one job so I had a lot more time on my hands! I made an appointment to have a Brazilian wax. The place I went to was in Dallas, which is about 30-40 minutes from where I live but it seemed a lot closer since I started going there more often. They specialize in Brazilian waxing so I was confident they were going to do a phenomenal job.

When I arrived, the receptionist greeted me and asked me to fill out a disclosure since it was my first time with them. The facility was clean, organized, and nicely decorated which made me feel comfortable. After I successfully checked in, they moved me to a dim room and asked that I take off the bottom half of my clothes and lay on the bed. When the aesthetician came in she turned on the bright fluorescents and went to work. Now it's been a while since I've actually gone and done this so I'll try to be as accurate as I can but I believe she took a cotton pad with a liquid on it and cleaned the area that was to be waxed and then put powder on top of it which helps with the waxing process and prevents the wax from pulling on your skin.

I went back there a few times since she got me in and out in 15 minutes but paying $50 each time was becoming too costly. ($50 is the average price in this area unfortunately.) I researched online to see if there were a way I could just do it myself at home. On one of the search results I found out about the GiGi's Hard wax which they sold at my local Sally's. I went in there and just grabbed the microwavable kit since I just wanted to try it out.

***

NOTE: I went to a professional waxing place before and paid attention to the techniques she aesthetician used in Brazilian waxing so I felt I was comfortable enough to try it on my own. If I had not had this service done before, I definitely would be too afraid to try it on my own especially because that is a very sensitive area.

***

Okay, so now onto the review.

The kit I purchased was less than $20 at Sally's Beauty Supply. I don't know where else they sell this at but I noticed there's basically a Sally's in every city so if you're interested here's the online link: *click!*
The kit includes:
  • Brazilian Bikini Wax Microwave Formula, 8 oz.
  • Pre-Hon Lotion, 2 fl oz.
  • Pre-Epilation Oil, 2 fl oz.
  • Wax Off, 2 oz.
  • Slow Grow, 2 fl oz.
  • 5 Small Acuu Edge Applicators
  • 5 Large Acuu Edge Applicators

I would recommend picking up a few more of the Acuu Edge applicators while you're there at Sally's since you can really go through them quickly.

I believe they had instructions in there but maybe I missed them because I kinda just winged it. First I microwaved the wax for about 30 seconds at first but it didn't seem to melt anything so after that I just did 2 minutes constantly. (Instructions says to do 30 second intervals until it's melted.) After the 2 minutes were up, I took a really sturdy kitchen skewer and stirred it because it was closer than the applicator. It still wasn't completely melted so I did another 30 seconds. It was melted thoroughly afterwards but way too hot! I let it sit for a few minutes before proceeding. While I waited for the wax to cool off I prepped the area to be waxed!

First things first, make sure whatever surface you're going to do it on is covered! I just took a towel and placed it underneath me and plopped down in front of a large mirror just so I had an "extra set of eyes". I took the Pre-Hon lotion and squeezed a little on the area then took a cotton pad and dispersed it evenly. I believe this step disinfects the area. Next I took the Pre-Epilation Oil and did the same thing. At the salon they used a powder, which you can purchase from Sally's, but in the kit it comes with oil. It's used for the same purpose -- to help the wax not tug on your skin. Don't use too much of this otherwise the wax won't adhere to the hair either. If you did use too much you can simply wipe away excess with a clean cotton pad.

After the wax cooled down to a manageable temperature I began to wax! This wax formula is a HARD formula so you don't need muslin strips. You simply smear it on a small area and let it cool for a few seconds and then pull it off quickly and it'll take the hair with it! Techniques I observed from the aesthetician definitely helped with the hair removal process and kept it at minimal to no pain :)

The process took about 30 minutes for me since it was my first time doing it but I'd say it were successful! After you're finished with the hair removal, you can use the Wax Off provided in the kit to remove any excess wax that could've stuck to your skin. They also provide a Slow Grow lotion for uses after you shower. Everything has a pleasant... coconutty...? scent to it.

***

The kit is a steal! I only do a Brazilian wax once a month and I would say the kit has about 4 uses out of it. (I can't quite say because I still have wax left, all that needed to be replaced were the applicators.) I definitely plan to invest into a warming tray and the full sized Hard wax for future waxing.

The key is to know how to wax that area before trying this out! If you don't, you won't have complete comfort and you'll experience a lot of pain from incorrect hair removal.

***

I'm more than open to answer any questions, since I usually notice my posts "miss" things that should be addressed :)

I hope you all have a blessed day!

Swatch: MAC Watch Me Simmer Lipstick

Hello my loves! It's been quite some time and life has been filled with ups and down. I've also been a busy bee traveling Texas since summer started :) I've been wanting to do a post on this lipstick for a while now! I almost didn't grab it when it came out so hooooray!

Watch Me Simmer came out twice with MAC already within a few months of each other. Apparently its first release sold out super fast (information from my make up artist :P) and I was fortunate the second time since she called me in for a pre sale ^_^!
The lipstick is an extremely bright coral. When leaving the house and going into public during the daytime, unless you're a makeup lover you must think I'm crazy to be wearing this on my lips! O_O
 MAC Watch Me Simmer
MAC Watch Me Simmer swatched on the back of my hand
On my lips it comes off as a more pinky coral in the photo for some reason but it really does have that bright orange to it like the swatch does!
Here's the lipstick worn :) I absolutely love this lipstick and pray I won't ever run out (although I know I will never even get half way if you want to be practical about it). It's basically the perfect summer color; bright, coral, and bold!

Do you own this lipstick?
What are your thoughts on it?

Hope all is well with everyone here on blogger. I've also created an instagram account, and then a year later when finally everyone is on it I started using it! My username is onlylindah if you want to follow :)

Lush, The Comforter

Hey ladies! It's been quite some time. (Hasn't it always everytime I post?!)

Today's post is about Lush's "The Comforter". It's a bubble bar and retails for $9.95 available in store or online. I actually went there the other day and had a small haul :) Because I already used the bubble bar there is not picture of it BUT here is their stock photo online which is very accurate of what it looks like in person :)
I've tried other bubble bars and I've enjoyed them all, no particular favorite so maybe I haven't found that scent that makes me go nuts yet.
This time when I used it I crumpled up the portion I wanted to use first before I cranked up the water. It looks pretty! ^__^
Still resulted in about the same amount of bubbles I always get. I think this way is less work! LOL! I crumpled it up, let the water do its magic, then went around looking for things I can do while I bathe :)
Yes, I am naked BUT I am wearing a shirt made of bubbles haha! My friend told me I looked like a 15 year old kid. OH WELL! This was a much needed bath after all this stress I've been dealing with from school.

Recommend you check out "the comforter", or any of the bubble bars for that matter. I want to try the super glittery one next! The dude said the glitter was water soluble so that lured me in...

Have a great weekend everyone!

Curls & Feeling Artsy :3

Hello blogger world :D!

Hope I didn't fall off the face of the world again.

I put on neutral makeup today and decided to make it un-boring by curling my hair... since I finally got a haircut! ^__^ I think it was semi-successful!

.... HEY GUYS! Did you know I had a minor butt chin?! YEEEAH, check the photo above :3 I'm surprised it photographed somewhat! My older sister says that when I was a baby it was like mega butt chin but it went away as I got older -___-
I really like my bigggggo eyebrows :) I was going to do a tutorial on how I shape them, but I'm gonna go through this box of wax I dislike first. Wouldn't make sense if I didn't like the product I was using right? lol
Last photo, I was feeling artsy outside :) I think it turned out nice with the gradation of the grass and sun. Wish I posed cooler so my shadow looked cool lol! (thank you mom for mowing the lawn.)

SOOOO I'm really wanting to hit the mac counter to look at the Nicki Minaj lipstick. It's crazy bright pink from what I've been seeing all over the blogosphere and I WANT!

Hope to see you soon!

26 February 2012

February has flown by..

... and this is what I've  been doing with all of my time!

I actually have four screens, one is behind me since there was no more room on my work desk =__=

So I multi-task at work and do homework at the same time :D

.... and that is what I do with all my time >_< YES, it's nerdy but I need good grades this semester!

see you gals soon, hopefully.

Ricky & Nicki Early Release?!

Long time no see! (kinda)

School has officially begun and my first test is this thursday :(

I have been wearing absolutely no makeup so there is no fotd's but hopefully soon to come..

What this post is about is this down below!! D:
Who else got this email?! AND purchased?! Well guess what... I didn't :)!!! I was ready to check out but there were no free shipping codes so I didn't purchase it lol. If you don't know usually when MAC has a new contract with a celebrity for their viva glam campaign they stick around for about a year so I was thinking to just pick this up later when it hits counters.

Just excited to say I think I'm cured! XD lol

Night gals, time for me to study!

New Year, New Fat.

Hello everyone!

Starting off the new year strong with a bunch of food in my body.

Massive amounts of food + No working out = New FAT  :( OH WELL.

***

I swung by Barnes&Nobles the other day to kill time waiting to go somewhere. I checked out a lot of random things and then ran into the baking books and grabbed a bunch and sat down and flipped through them. By the time I was finished I was in serious craving of some sweets!

Betty Crocker Cookie Book, 500 Cupcakes, whoopie pies

***

I adored the Maxim Green Tea Lattes that Amy had given me in a love pack a while back and they do not sell them in Texas and are always sold out online on mitsuwa :( I finally realized I can order this at starbucks and I have to admit it was quite delicious! This will be one of my new regular drinks :)!!

Starbucks Green Tea Latte

I've also been having the BIGGEST dimsum craving for the longest time and I finally got a Sunday off to grab some :)! I went to Kowloon in Arlington, TX because it was the nearest location to me that had a decent selection. I was so hungry and just dug in without thinking of taking a picture so I snapped a quick one after half the food was gone :P

My friend and I grabbed dinner at the new location of Pho 95 off Cooper in Arlington, TX. I live near another location which is a lot older and has been around forever. The new location has a bar and looks really fancy! I think it's more catered to the non-asian customers lol, and they actually do an awesome job of refilling drinks :D! Best thing is it's the same prices as the one near my house so that's a definite plus ;)

I took my younger cousin out to eat for his 17th birthday, graduation, and 18th birthday... finally! I told him I was in the mood for hibachi and ask if he had a preferred place so we ended up at Shogun in Southlake, TX. The place was very small compared to other hibachi places I've been to and I didn't realize he's only been to one. We got there after dinner time was over so there wasn't anyone else eating while we were, just getting ready to leave. The cook was mediocre during the show and staff seemed like they were ready to close shop and leave. I'm just glad the food was yummy!

Some friends and I stopped by braums after dinner one day. I finished every last bite of my meal and I had the banana split and finished that too lol! I was SOOO hungry. One of our friends missed the dinner memo so he ended up buying a burger at braums.

Co-workers and I went to TGIFridays in celebration of my co-worker Cassie turning 20! Cheers to her, she's finally old! I had the parmesan crusted chicken which is a crispy chicken breast served with cheese tortelloni in spinach alfredo sauce which also came with a tomato-mozzarella chese salad. Quite yummy if I recall! :)

That all the food porn I have from the past couple of weeks, I guess I haven't exactly documented every meal I'm ate/made because I'm always so hungry and dig right in! PLUS my iphone camera is pretty crappy as you can tell :( OH WELL!

I'm planning on making an eyebrow tutorial :) Just depends how the video comes out will be whether I post it up or not! Hopefully nothing malfunctions lol.

Good day to you all :P
