VS Makeup: Color Drama Lipstick in Sinful and Lip Liner in Spice It Up Review & Swatches

Victoria's Secret is having a sale on their cosmetics right now! From my knowledge, I believe they are discontinuing their makeup line so I grabbed a few things I've always wanted to try from them before it was too late.

First is a pinky-nude lipstick and the other is a lip liner. There were a few other things I wanted to try but those had a more likely chance to end up in a box somewhere so I just didn't grab them.

The lipstick was $9.80 after the discount and the lip liner was $8.40. I'd say that's a pretty good price, especially when drugstore makeup can get a bit pricey these days.

Sorry for posting already used products! I actually picked this up in Chicago during vacation and was really excited to use them and I didn't want to be made fun of photographing cosmetics before going out, haha.

VS Makeup Color Drama Lipstick in Sinful

The lipstick on my lips gives an opaque, glossy pinky-nude color. It definitely covers my natural lip color completely and lightens it without giving me a ghastly look. I'm very happy with this; it's hydrating and lasts on my lips until I start eating, which is every 3 to 4 hours for me. I applied the lipstick straight out of the tube without a lip brush.

VS Makeup Lip Liner in Spice It Up 

Excuse the dryness of my lips and the countless lines. The lip liner is very long lasting but it's not a product I'd wear out on its own because it isn't attractive. It's just your basic nude liner which is a staple in my makeup collection. The plus side for this is that it's a twist up so you won't be needing any sharpeners! (FYI, I hate sharpening my pencils because I feel like I don't get to use 100% of my product.)

And here it is paired together. I like the way the lip liner makes the lipstick more nude, rather than pinky. You can use it vice versa too, use a pinky lip liner and then top it off with the lipstick and it'll achieve a more pinky-toned lip.

Excuse the bare face (although I'll admit I airbrushed some blemishes out in photoshop) but just imagine this paired with a dramatic eye! The lipstick is lighter than the liner so you can actually use a lip brush to apply the lipstick and create some dimension to your lips.

Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase! I won't be going back for anymore items, simply because there probably won't be anything left besides the stripper glitter eye shadow palettes. If you love glitter or are interested in these products, I definitely recommend you go to your nearest Victoria's Secret and take a look before everything is gone for good!
